2010 Rim Open: The competitor's results have been posted. We would like to thank all participants - skaters, coaches, officials and volunteers - for making the competition a success.
We are also announcing the winners of our first club/coach competition. This was all for fun, and is not meant to be an indication of which coach or club is 'best' - but the winners do get bragging rights for the next 12 months! Points were awarded for each IJS event - 10 points for 1st, 5 for 2nd, 3 for 3rd and 1 for 4th.
As you can see, quality counts more than quantity - so it was not necessarily those who brought the most skaters that did well. San Diego had only a few skaters - but several of them placed first, gaining the club and coach the top spots. Next year, we may include 6.0 events in the scoring as well - but for this year, it was only IJS. The top three in each category receive a donation to any charity or club of their choosing made in their name.
