Entry Eeze and receive a discount on your entry. The dates for this year's competition are September 11 and 12.
Coaches and skaters, please pay special attention to the club and coach awards being offered this year. The clubs and coaches with the best skaters will be awarded a donation to their club or charity of choice.

Summer Program! For eight weeks, between June 14 and August 6, we will be hosting stroking and off-ice sessions immediately after the morning freestyle sessions. Download the
flyer and application to sign up. Note that the schedule may change depending upon the level of interest. If we have a sufficient number of skaters, we may split stroking and/or off-ice into upper/lower levels on different days. Off-ice will consist of jump, conditioning and stretching exercises

2010 Rim Open: We are in the process of finalizing the plans for this year's competition. We have a few new awards planned for this year, including a 'team' award that will reward the clubs with the best peforming skaters. Points will be awarded for 1st through 4th place in each event judged using the IJS scoring sytem. The four clubs with the highest total points will receive an award. There will be a similar award for coaches. We are still in the process of deciding the amounts, but awards will include a donation to the club or favorite charity of the recipient. So be sure to bring your best skaters!

We have posted the
testing schedule thru June. Please note that we will be holding test sessions every other month. This means that there is a good chance that sessions will fill up, so please be sure to get your application in at least two weeks prior to the test. Home club members will be given priority, with second club members being next in line. Non-club members will be scheduled only if space exists.

The story can be as a rough draft, or in finished format - just indicate how you would like it to be handled.

Congratulations to David Kent for his 6th place finish at the Southwest Pacific Regional Championships, earning a berth to the 2009 U.S. Junior Championships in Lake Placid, NY. Go David!

We have a test session scheduled for July 23, with a closing date for applications on July 14. If a skater needs to test, but is unable to make the July 23 session, we are working to schedule an August test date - either the 20th or 27th, depending on availability of judges. The closing date for applications will be approximately two weeks prior to the test date. If we don't get enough entries, we will cancel the session, and if we fill up we will close the entries early - so please schedule any tests as soon as possible.

We are looking for volunteers and donations to help with the ISI and USFS Basic Skills Competition which will be held on July 19 and 20 at Center Ice Arena. Please support the rink, and the club, in this endeavor.
The Rim of the World Open Championship is scheduled for Sept 6 and 7 this year. We are currently looking for volunteers to assist with various aspects of this event as well. Please contact

The test session scheduled for June 21 will likely be moved to a mid-week date. We are short one judge for this test session due to the Interclub Championships being held this weekend. We are looking for an alternate date, and hope to have it scheduled to be held before the end of the month.

The next board meeting will be held on Wed, June 18 at 10am. We will be discussing club finances, bylaws and upcoming events, including the Rim of the World Open Championship, test sessions and the Ice Cream Social. We hope to establish a committee for each of these events to help ensure they are planned and run smoothly. We will also be discussing other fundraising and social events for the coming year. We hope all members will make an attempt to attend.
Immediately after the board meeting, the competition committee will meet to discuss the preparations for this year's Rim of the World Open Championship, which will be held on Sept 5-7. Again, all members are encouraged to attend, even if just to hear the discussion or provide some suggestions. We will certainly welcome any assistance offered. Announcements for the competition will be mailed out this week.

The annual meeting was held on May 27, where Dean Kent was elected club President for 2008-2009. The club is looking for members and parents who are willing to provide some assistance for various events. If you would like to find out what you can do to help the club, please contact Dean.

The test session on May 17 went very well, and we received a congratulations from the judges for how smoothly everything went. Thank you to all who assisted and participated.
The nominating process is complete, and ballots have been mailed to all current members. Ballots will be accepted up to the
club meeting on May 27 at 5:00pm. Please take the time to vote - the success of our club depends upon your participarion. All members are invited to this meeting to help validate the ballot counting, and bring up any questions or concerns.
All members are encouraged to renew their membership for next year. Enrollment begins now, and continues through May 31. Membership forms have been mailed to all current members, and can be printed at any time from the Membership menu.
Note: 2007-2008 Membership forms were mailed out by mistake. You may use those forms, or download a current year form instead if you prefer.
